Built on a 58-acre trail lined rainforest reserve, this adult-only hotel takes up less than 8% of the total land mass. At an altitude of almost 1000 feet, the views of the pristine rainforest and its flora and fauna, palm-lined beaches, distant islands and the endless ocean are dramatic. The 300 km overlook of coastline also encompasses panoramas from Manuel Antonio to the Osa Peninsula, the migratory route of many species of whales and dolphins.
INGENIOUS DESIGN
The design objective was to enhance the existing beauty with stunning structures made from traditional and modern materials that reflect authentic Costa Rican styles. The all-encompassing views are intensified by an open architecture, natural floral walls and vaulted ceilings. In the center is a fountain fed by natural rainwater over large, local stones - an ode to the natural balance of water. The resort’s altitude offers a cool breeze of naturally scented fauna and flora.
INNOVATIVE ARCHITECTURE
The main building features a kaleidoscope of views. It was designed to enhance the environment and focus on nature. The structure imitates the fractal geometry of the jungle canopy, the most visible shape in nature.
You must decide why this adult-only hotel is called Three Sixty. Is it the views, food delicacies, pleasure, luxuries, comfort, relaxation or total indulgence? The resort’s ingenious design will make your head turn. The biggest risk is that you won’t want to leave.
